Zuni Gold beans are grown for us in southern Colorado. They are gold in color with white speckles - the size & texture of pintos. We've combined them with Great Northern whites to create a sweet, tangy & smoke-flavored dish.

What makes it sweet? The addition of the natural & highly nutritious desert food, mesquite meal, made by grinding the pods from a mesquite tree into a powder. What makes it tangy? Because you add a bit of vinegar & ketchup at the end of cooking. What makes it smoke flavored? We've added natural smoke flavoring.
