Preparation Instructions: Pour 16 ounces crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce into medium saucepan. Add Mamasita’s Salsa mix. Stir until well blended. If desired, add approximately 2 tablespoons chopped, fresh cilantro. Cook over low heat for 12 minutes, or cover and microwave for 3 minutes, stirring after a minute and a half. May have to add a little water if salsa appears too thick. Lasts refrigerated for several weeks. Flavor improves with age.

Serving Suggestions: As a salsa for eggs cooked any way, tacos, burritos, rice or beans - great with our recipe for Tostadas de Queso. Add a little lime juice to subtly alter the flavor. This works wonderful as a marinade for chicken or beef. Chopped fresh or canned jalapeños adds heat some people love. Great as a dip for corn tortillas.
