Simply add 12 ounces of your favorite beer - the darker the beer the darker the bread. The yeast in the beer makes the bread rise. Alcohol content bakes out, leaving only the flavor. The texture is not light like French or Italian bread, or heavy like some with many grains. Rather, more the texture of English muffin bread.
